The city of Knoxville accomplished many things in 2009. City manager Dick Schrad said that he thought it was a successful year for the city. Schrad stated that one thing he was proud of was how supportive the community was of the first phase of the downtown streetscape program and because of that they are well on their way to proceed with the streetscape improvements in the future.
