P-C-M fought off a pesky Pleasantville boys squad last night to move on the second round of the Class two-A with a 55-to-48 victory. The Mustangs led by as much as 14 in the gamebut each time it looked like they would put it awaythe Trojans would come right back. The Mustangs lead stayed right around the ten point marginuntil halfway through the final quarterwhen Pleasantville started inching towards the lead. The Trojans got to within five points with 15 seconds leftbut couldn’t quite get over the humpand P-C-M put it away from the free-throw line to come away with the seven point win. The Mustangs were led by Gavin Burnswho had one of his best offensive games of the yearwith 16 points. P-C-M goes on to play I-35 on Thursday at a site to be determined.
