Officials from Pella and Knoxville attended a meeting on the state I-JOBS program earlier this week. The approximately $830 million package includes more than $200 million for transportation and water quality projects. Pella City Administrator Mike Nardini says this could provide some financial assistance for water and wastewater infrastructure upgrades and improvements to North Main Street. Knoxville City Manager Dick Schrad says he’s in the process of going through the requirements needed to apply for funding and plans to sit down with officials to look at projects the city could qualify for in applying for funding.
