The final Thursdays in Pella event of the summer season finished strong, with nearly four blocks of family entertainment. As part of “Ag in the City,” there were several pieces of new farm equipment, as well as antique tractors on display; a variety of foods and a free gospel music concert. The night also featured a Mayoral “Squirt Off,” pitting Pella Mayor Darrell Dobernecker against Knoxville Mayor Harv Sprafka in a goat-milking competition. Dobernecker got the win on his home turf, but only by the slimmest of margins: one millimeter.
