Although Governor Culver is urging Iowans to consider long-term care insurance, residents shouldn’t rush into buying a policy, but should consult with a local provider before making a decision. That’s according to Todd Chambers, financial advisor with McKay Insurance Agency in Knoxville. Dana Boner, an agent with Van Gorp Insurance in Pella, says residents looking for long-term care insurance can generally get cheaper policies when they’re younger. Boner agrees that it’s important to talk to insurance agents before making policy decisions.
