An Army Reserve Sergeant with family ties in Melcher-Dallas recently participated in the Army Reserve Command “Best Warrior” competition at Fort McCoy in Wisconsin. An Army spokesperson tells KNIA/KRLS News that Shawn D. Zimmerman was tested on his physical and mental abilities during the competition. Zimmerman is a paralegal specialist, is assigned to the 388th Medical Battalion in Hays Kansas, and has four years of military service.
