When you go out to play that tennis match this summer in Knoxville, you will play at courts that will be named after Knoxville Boys Tennis Coach Joel Tonda. The Knoxville City Council voted Monday night to re-name the courts in Youngs Park in honor of the long-time Panther mentor. Tonda says it is a very nice honor by the community and fells fortunate to have worked with so many outstanding athletes over the years. Tonda has been at Knoxville for the past 30 years. He led the Panthers to the 2001 class one-A team state championship. Tonda also coaches freshman football at Knoxville in the fall.
