Student testing scores in Knoxville have showed significant improvement in the last year. That’s according to Knoxville Schools Superintendent Dr. Randy Flack. He says scores from the Iowa Test of Basic Skills and Iowa Test of Educational Development showed progress. Flack says the middle school was also taken off of a federal watch list this year, after it was put on the list last year with trailing test scores. He adds the high school did show improvement of more that 9%, but was not taken off of watch list was because not enough students improved. Overall, Flack says the improved numbers show a consistent effort by faculty and staff to raise tests scores.
