Area law enforcement agencies are continuing to focus on intoxicated drivers this weekend as part of the latest Special Traffic Enforcement Program, or “STEP” wave. The Pella Police Department, Knoxville Police Department and Marion County Sheriff’s Office have all beefed up their commitment to saving lives on Iowa’s streets and highways by looking for drunk or drugged drivers. The effort is part of the National Campaign: “Drunk Driving. Over the Limit, Under Arrest,” which began August 21st and continues through September 3rd.
