A group of U-eight Pella Soccer Club girls have qualified for the World Championships in the “Kick it” three vs. three competition. The team consists of Ellie Howard, Sonya Leidig, Grace Held, Ava Rowe, and Abby Moeller and is coached by Mark Howard. They qualified for the World Championships by placing third in the local qualifying tournament in Ankeny and placing fifth in the Regional qualifying tournament in Cedar Rapids. The World Championships will be played this January 16-to-18 at Disney’s Wide World of Sports Complex in Florida.
