This past week’s meeting was the final official obligation for two Pella School Board members who will not seek re-election for another term. Departing are Chad Ver Steeg, who served one year on the board; and Myron Linn, who held the position for 15 years. Pella Schools Superintendent Mark Wittmer says both candidates will be missed for their many contributions and desire to improve the education of the district’s students. New candidates to fill their seats will be sworn in at the next Pella School Board meeting, which will take place after the September 8th elections.
