One person was transported to Knoxville Hospital & Clinics with non-life threatening injuries this morning, after their bicycle collided with a car at 1479 Highway G44. Knoxville Rescue and Knoxville Township Fire Department responded to the scene, with Knoxville Township and Mercy One helicopter later disregarding after the patient was transported. The cause of the accident is unknown at this time, and the name of the person involved was not immediately available. KNIA/KRLS News will bring you more information as soon as it becomes official.

Moments later, Knoxville Fire & Rescue responded to a separate two-vehicle accident just north of the Lincoln and Pleasant intersection, with no major injuries reported.
