Fire crews battled a fully-involved housefire in Pleasantville for over an hour early Monday morning.

The blaze— which consumed the home and at least one vehicle at 109 S. Sunset Drive—also caused damage to a neighboring home. There were initial reports of people inside the home, but that they got out safely. Pleasantville Fire Chief Paul Gasparovich tells KNIA/KRLS News there were no reports of injuries.

Gasparovich says crews were on scene for over two hours securing the area. He says the State Fire Marshall has been called to investigate the cause of the fire. Pleasantville, Knoxville Township and Melcher-Dallas Fire Departments responded to the scene, with Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies.
