The Pioneers on the board in just the third minute and they held a 3-0 advantage at intermission. It was 4-0 before Central sophomore midfielder Caroline Bartko recorded her first goal of the year with 2:35 left in the game. But Grinnell answered with a final tally with just 42 seconds remaining.
