Knoxville has had a good start to its girls cross country season.  Coach Erin Mikels says the team has come together to prove wrong many who at the start of the season thought this year would be a rebuilding project.   Mikels says Jess Fresh has consistently run times well under 18 minutes.  Also Allison Crossett and Alissa Van Klootwyk have shown progress by earning spots on varsity.  Mikels adds she is very pleased with the girls’ effort and likes the fact that they are challenging each other for a varsity spot.  Knoxville is off until Tuesday when the Panthers travel to Newton.
