Knoxville postmaster Jack Moorhead is retiring after 40 years with the postal service, and residents can wish Jack good-luck wihile seeing the office itself. The event is free and open to the public. Description: Central College\’s Sue Odem, adjunct instructor of music, will perform the semester\’s first Notes at Noon concert on Wednesday, October 7th in the Cox-Snow Recital Hall. Central College International Dinner

Description: Central College will hold its second international dinner of the semester on Wednesday, October 7th in the Graham Conference Center starting at 5:30. Tickets are $15 per person, and students with a Central College ID and children under 5 are free. The dinner will feature Lebanese dishes and dessert. Second Reformed Pork Patty Supper

The Second Christian Reformed GEMS and Cadets will have a pork patty barbecue supper on Wednesday, October 7th from 5:00 to 7:00 and includes pork patty sandwiches, baked beans, homemade potato salad and desserts. The supper will be held in the church basement. cost is a freewill donation.

Gateway Singers Coming to Knoxville

The Gateway Singers from Centerville will be performing at the First Christian Church in Knoxville on Sunday, October 4th at 10:00 am. The singers have been in gospel music for more than 40 years and have toured in 46 states including Alaska and Hawaii. This event is free and open to the public.

Trinity Lutheran Pre-School Chili Supper

St. Anthony Church Life Commission Newcomer Luncheon

The St. Anthony Church Life Commission will be hosting a Newcomer Luncheon on Sunday, October 13th, following Mass. All Parishioners are welcome to attend the potluck. They do ask church members who have yet to register in the parish to fill out the form at Mass and send it in to the office.

Mass Time Changes at St. Anthony’s and Sacred Heart

On Saturday, October 3rd, Mass times will change. Saturday evening Mass in Melcher-Dallas will be at 4:00 and Mass at St. Anthony’s will be at 6:00.

Next Step Conference in Ankeny

The Ankeny First United Methodist Church is hosting a Next Step Conference October 23rd and 24th. There will be 25 workshops on a variety of ministry interests. Central Men Golfers Brave Conditions and Finish 11th at Wisconsin Tournament
