The office of the Pella Police Department has also been active in addressing rumors of attempted child abductions. Pella Police Lieutenant John VanHaaften tells KNIA/KRLS news that his department is actively investigating reports of suspicious activity involving vehicles and pedestrians, but wishes to express there have been no abductions or attempted abductions of children in Pella. The Pella Police Department is continuing to work closely with area and state law enforcement officials, and encourage citizens to contact their office if they observe or hear of any suspicious behavior.
