Voters going to the polls on Tuesday in the Twin Cedars School District will see a special issue on the ballot, along with their school board candidates. The issue is a vote on the revenue purpose statement, which approves the spending plan for funds from the state-wide one cent sales tax. Twin Cedars Superintendent Brian VanderSluis (VAN-dur-sloose) tells KNIA/KRLS News that it is most important for voters to know that the special issue will not increase taxes; is not a new tax; and its passage will allow the district to improve infrastructure and provide tax relief. School board elections will be held statewide on Tuesday.
