The water level at Lake Red Rock will begin rising in a little more than a week. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will raise the conservation pool by two feet during the fall per a request from the Iowa DNR. The increase will begin on October 7th and gradually raise two feet by October 17th. The increased water level is intended to allow access by waterfowl to additional food sources by flooding backwater areas. The higher elevation will be maintained until December 10th.
