Funeral services for Fred Curtis Lane, aged 62, of Chariton will be geld on November 5, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. The service will take place at Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Chariton. Interment will be in the Chariton Cemetery. The American Legion will provide burial honors at the cemetery. Family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the Pierschbacher Funeral Home. Memorials maybe be made to the Church of the Nazarene in Chariton, Pierschbacher Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Condolences may be left for the family at www.pierschbacherfuneralhome.com.

Pella Christian Netters Win Five-Game Thriller to Advance to Regional Finals

A line for an H1N1 vaccinations Saturday in Pella began forming at 6:00 a.m. and stretched out to well over 100 people by 9:30 a.m. for a clinic that did not open until 10:00.

For 8 years now, KNIA / KRLS Radio has been filling the Big Red Radio with non-perishable food items to stock the Food Shelves in Marion County. It’s the time of year for giving and it’s the time of year many families are in the most need.
