The fall book sale hosted last week by the Friends of the Pella Public Library raised over $900 over the course of the nine-day sale. That’s according to Pella Public Library Director Wendy Street, who said the event was one of the more successful sales in recent memory.

Many of the books sold were donations that were made available for customers to take as many as they wished for a monetary donation of their choice. Proceeds go to the Friends of the Pella Public Library, which uses the funds to supplement the Library’s budget for programs and events.
