Central May Look to the Sky Against Cornell

Though a potent ground game has been a key piece in the success of the Central football team this season, it may be the aerial attack for the Dutch that figures most prominently today.

“Cornell has given up some yards in the passing game, so I think we have to make sure we are conscious of that,” says Central Head Coach Jeff McMartin, “and we have to use that to our advantage because they have a very good run defense.”

The Dutch quarterback duo of Nate Snead and Zach Bandow combined for 259 passing yards in last week’s win over Coe; and if they can combine that with another solid day on the ground and a stout defense, then today could bring the Dutch win number five this season.

Coverage of the tenth-ranked Central Football team will be broadcast this afternoon on 92.1fm KRLS, with Trevor Castle providing the call. Coverage begins at 12:45 with kickoff at 1:00 p.m. and will also be streaming live at kniakrls.com
