Pella boys and girls and Knoxville boys plus one individual are headed to the State Cross Country Meet this Saturday from yesterday’s class three-A District/Regional in Knoxville. Pella swept the team titles as the Little Dutch had four of the top six positions in the boys race lead by Zach Buchheit won was District Champion. Also making all district from Pella was Nathan Buchheit, Zach Wittenberg, and Jon Klein. Knoxville was third and was led into state by Jamie VanderVeer’s fourth place. On the girls side, Pella had just enough to edge out Williamsburg for the Regional title. The Lady Dutch had 63 points to Williamsburg’s 69. Victoria Kleven was all region with a fifth place finish. While Knoxville was unable to qualify the team to state with a fourth place finish, Allisa VanKlootwyk earned her way in and an all-regional nod with a tenth place finish.
