Knoxville blew away everyone in the boy’s portion of the Centerville Cross Country Invitational last night. The Panthers finished 38 points ahead of runner-up Fort Madison with three runners in the top ten led by Jamie Vander Veer in third place, Timothy Shepherd in seventh, and Alex Edwards in eighth. Coach Mike Moats said this meet was a great measuring stick for district as eight of the 15 teams will be in Knoxville. He adds they now know what these teams have and is confident that Knoxville can be right in the thick of the district. The girls finished third and Twin Cedars was 12th. Leading the way for Knoxville was Kathy Adrian in a time of 17 minutes flat.
