Former Creighton stand-out and Pella native Kyle Korver will be inducted into the Missouri Valley Conference Hall of Fame this coming spring. Korver, a two-time Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Year selection for the Bluejays, and the only player in the 33-year history of the MVC Men’s Basketball Championship to earn back-to-back Most Outstanding Player Honors, will join coaches Rich Herrin of Southern Illinois and Cheryl Burnett of Missouri State in the 13th Missouri Valley Conference Hall of Fame Class. The three will be enshrined on March 5, 2010 in St. Louis. Korver is beginning his seventh season in the NBA. He played the first four and a half seasons withthe Philidelphia 76ers and this will be hisecond full season with the Utah Jazz. The Jazz currently have a 5-2 record in the pre season, however, Korver has missed six of the seven games with a knee injury. His status is listed as day to day on the Jazz website.
