Pella Christian volleyball begins their post season tomorrow night at home hosting Pleasantville in the Class 2A Regional tournament. The Eagles finished the regular season 18-15 overall and 5-2 in the LHC which is good for a second place finish. Coach John Evenhouse says there will be some tough team standing in their way as they progress through the post season. If the Eagles win tomorrow, they would host either Albia or Eddyville Blakesburg next Tuesday night then according to Evenhouse probably play Clarke in the semifinals at Pella High School next Thursday. Fourth ranked Mediapolis is the favorite to win the other half of the bracket and if they do they would be the Eagles opponent in the Regional Final November 3rd at Washington. The Eagles are hoping to end their season like they did last year, on the courts at the US Cellular Center in Cedar Rapids in the Class 2A state tournament. Evenhouse says he feels good about their chances. He says they reallyimproved a lot during the first few weeks of the season then hit what he calls a plateau for a couple of weeks, but he says they have really shown improvements again in the last week or so and he likes what he’s seen. You can hear the Pella Christian vs Pleasantville match tomorrow night broadcast live on 92.1 FM KRLS and streamed live on kniakrls.com with Jamie Brockman and Wynne Veenstra starting just before 7pm.
