The Pella Cross Country teams are just a day away from competition at the State Meet. Little Dutch Head Coach Doug Cutler says both the girls and boys teams have set some lofty goals for themselves, but says they can accomplish those goals and be very successful if they continue to run their style of race. Cutler adds that teams don’t win state titles by doing something different in the first mile, but they can certainly lose a race that way. Lakeside Municipal Golf Course in Fort Dodge is the site for the 2009 State Cross Country Meet. The Pella girls will start at noon with the boys to follow at 12:30 p.m. The Class 3-A Awards Ceremony will be at 1:20 p.m.
