The Pella girls and boys swept the Little Hawkeye Conference Cross Country meet yesterday and earned 11 all conference honors in the process between the two squads. On the girls side freshman Victoria Kleven finished second, Mariah Vandelune was fourth, Sarah Wittenberg was 10th, Hanna Martin finished 14th and Jessica Anderson finished 15th. On the boys side Zach Buchheit led the way finishing second, Zach Wittenberg finished third, Nathan Buchheit was sixth, Jon Klein finished ninth, Michael Schemm finished 13th and Chris Meyers was 14th. The Pella JV teams also won both races and each swept the top six individual finishing positions to earn perfect scores of 15 points.

The Knoxville girls finished second as a team with three all conference honorees led by Lydia Anderson in ninth place, Jessica Fresh finished 11th and Kathy Adreon was 12th . The Panther boys finished third led by Jamie Vandrveer who earned all conference honors by finishing fifth.

The Pella Christian girls squad finished sixth led by all conference honorees Michaela Martin in eighth place and Kim Van Zee in 13th and the Eagle boys finished fourth led by Josh Meyer in 11th and Skyler Giddings in 12th who each earned all conference. The teams now have 10 full days to make final tune ups for the District/Regional meets which will be held Thursday October 22nd. Pella and Knoxville will compete in Knoxville while Pella Christian heads to Nodaway Valley.
