Although today’s combines and tractors are computerized, residents can see how farmers harvested corn by hand. Pleasantville High School teacher Dennis Oliver is inviting people to be part of a re-enactment of early 20th century harvesting techniques and machinery in southern Iowa this Saturday. The Saturday event begins at 1 p.m. at Dennis Oliver’s farm at 19829 Kirkwood Street in Milo, Iowa.
