Attica and Pershing Officials are working with Marion County to get a new water and sanitary sewer system built. That’s according to Cory Frank, Environmental Public Health Manager with the Marion County Public Health Department. He says the county is working with Wastewater Management Services of Central Iowa to discuss the proposed project, which would hook up homes septic systems on a common collection line, and also improve the home water systems. Engineering work, applying for state funds and a preliminary study are all planned in starting the process to try to bring the system to the unincorporated towns.
