A two mile run/walk starting at the Volksweg Trail head near the Pella Public Library will begin the day at 8:30 a.m., followed by the rescheduled Luminary Ceremony at 10:00 a.m. in Central Park.

Local author Sheryl Ellinwood will also hold a book signing event for copies of her book Empowered: A Woman-to-Woman Guide to Breast Cancer Prevention and Treatment at the Galerie of Pella from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; and several breast cancer education and prevention events featuring medical professionals from Pella Regional Health Center will be held at Monarch’s from 10:30 a.m. to noon.

“Pella in Pink” is sponsored by the Pella Chamber of Commerce and is centered on breast cancer awareness and support of local programs. The three-day event featured retail specials for several local businesses, along with fundraisers to benefit local breast cancer programs.
