The holiday shopping season unofficially started Friday as dozens of local stores opened their doors for “Black Friday” specials. Among those opening early were the Radio Shack and Hy-Vee Food Stores in both Pella and Knoxville, which featured flat-screen TVs among other marquee items. The KNIA/KRLS Big Red Radio and Lil’ Big Red Radio also made the rounds on “Black Friday” hosting remote broadcasts at Stravers Cellular and Bruxvoort’s Decorating Center in Pella and Hy-Vee in Knoxville.
