Boys Teams Get 1st Action In Turkey Shoot Last Night

The Knoxville Turkey Shoot was last night. A total of ten teams played two quarters of basketball to get ready for the upcoming season opener for most of them on Tuesday night. In game one the Knoxville J-V unit defeated Twin Cedars’ varsity 22-11. The next game features P-C-M and Montezuma with Montezuma coming out on top 28-24. Pella played Melcher-Dallas in the next match up and broke open a tight game midway through the first quarter to post a 36-6 win over the Saints. Pella Christian and Lynnville-Sully squared off in the night’s fourth contest with the Eagles posting a 29-25 win. Knoxville and Centerville capped the evening off and the Big Reds hit well from long range as Knoxville’s varsity fell 38-26.
