The punter for the Central College football team has been named the Iowa Conference football special teams player of the week. Junior Kurtis Brondyke averaged a season-best 49.4 yards on five punts in Central’s 17-0 win against Buena Vista University Saturday. Three of Brondyke’s punts pinned the Beavers inside their 20-yard line and one punt went for a career-long of 78 yards. Brondyke and the rest of the sixth-ranked Dutch team will travel to Waverly this Saturday to close out the regular season against Wartburg.
