Pella High School football fans packed most of the home side of the bleachers in the High School gymnasium late Saturday night to welcome home the Class 3-A runners up. The reception included brief speeches from Little Dutch Head Coach Jay McKinstrey and senior captains on the football team. Members of the football team also posed with their trophy and received medals and commemorative footballs. Pella’s 35-14 runner-up finish to Harlan in the Class 3-A football playoffs marked the first time in school history that the Little Dutch had made it to the Championship game.
