Not only was the Knoxville Boys Cross Country Squad one of the top team in the state, the guys also were outstanding in the classroom as well. The team cumulative grade point average was 3.6 this semester. Coach Mike Moats says any team with a cumulative G-P-A of 2.5 or higher gets a state award. He adds the team’s focus is right where it needs to be, and every season stresses academics first then athletics.
