Race fans will remember how racy the Knoxville Raceway was this past season. Now the half-mile is getting a fresh new surface of black dirt. According to the Raceway 150-to-200 truck full’s of black gumbo have been dumped on turns one and two…also in turns three and four. Other areas have received new dirt as well. The last time the raceway got a new coat of black dirt was just before the 2004 race season. The Knoxville Raceway is also set to announce the 2010 schedule later this week.
