As the flu-season continues, hospitals are seeing more adults getting sick while less students are absent from H1N1. Marion County public health director Kim Dorn says the pattern is generally being seen state-wide, and encourages residents to always wash their hands, cover their cough, and stay home when sick. Marion County Public Health officials will start providing H1N1 vaccines to school-aged children one district at a time, starting in the Twin Cedars school district this Thursday. Public Health will notify KNIA/KRLS first with the time of the clinic and any potential changes in clinic dates or flu information.
