Among the area retail outlets preparing for an active holiday season are two local bookstores. Rosa Veenstra, owner of Gosselink’s Christian Bookstore in Pella says she expects a good start to the holiday shopping season.

“It will be busy because a lot of families are home [for Thanksgiving] and a lot of them that are visiting want to come stop by the christian bookstore,” says Veenstra.

In Knoxville, The Next Chapter Bookstore will also offer accessories, gift certificates and picture frames to customers – in addition to the traditional books and chocolates; and owner Tresa Mott says she appreciates the local customers and invites everyone to stop in for their holiday shopping.

“We really appreciate all the support throughout the last year, [and] we would certainly like to see everybody shopping at The Next Chapter this holiday season,” says Mott.
