Marion County Special Olympics Sees Great Participation

Nine Marion County Special Olympic Athletes participated in the regional bowling tournament on October 22 in Des Moines. The head coach of Marion County Special Olympics, Maureen Schletzbaum, says Andrew McMulin from Twin Cedars, Cameron Cross from Melcher Dallas, Jacob Hindman from Knoxville, Marissa Schletzbaum, Chase Robbins, Tegan Ripperger, Isaiah Brown from Pleasantville, Haley Stevens, Joe Cunningham from Prairie City/Monroe all participated. Isaiah Brown will compete in the State Tournament this Saturday in Des Moines.

Marion County Special Olympics also thanks those contributing to funding their new team jackets this year. Special Thank-you to Fairlane Bowl, Ramaeker Screen Printing, Dennison Racing Tee’s, Marion County United Way, Knoxville Morning Kiwanis, and Pleasantville City Grant. The athletes really enjoy them.
