Knoxville Hospital & Clinics is now offering the latest in technology which will improve the quality, accuracy, and ease of breast biopsies. Hospital spokeswoman Katrina Nelson says the hospital has added a mobile stereotactic breast biopsy service provided by Health Enterprises of Iowa, which uses advanced technology to map the precise site of a breast abnormality before a tissue sample is taken for biopsy. She adds the unique design of the system allows a woman to lie down while the biopsy is being performed, for maximum comfort.
