Heavy fog Saturday morning was a major factor in a two vehicle accident east of Pella. Shortly before 9:00 a.m., a pickup traveling eastbound on East Vermeer Road struck a transport truck that attempting to turn west at the intersection of Highway 102.

The driver of the pickup was transported by Pella Ambulance to Pella Regional Health Center with non-life threatening injuries. The accident was investigated by the Pella Police Department.
