More than a week after their dominating victory over Mediapolis in the Regional Finals, the Pella Christian Volleyball team will return to postseason action tonight as they face top-seeded Mount Vernon in the opening round of the State Volleyball Tournament.

The two teams met earlier in the season at a tournament in Iowa City, and Eagles’ Coach John Evenhouse says that accurate passing to the setter and the ability to dig the ball will be crucial in the match.

The opening serve between Pella Christian and Mount Vernon is scheduled for 7:15 p.m. tonight at the U.S. Cellular Center in Cedar Rapids. Play-by-play coverage of the match can be heard on 92.1 fm KRLS with Eric Gotschall and Wynne Veenstra; starting at 7:00 p.m.
