The Pella Christian volleyball team will try and make the most of their practice opportunity today to prepare for tomorrow’s Class 2-A Regional Final Match against Mediapolis. Eagles’ Coach John Evenhouse says at this point in the season, teams can’t afford to have any weaknesses.

“You just really have to do everything in the game. If you’re not going to play good defense, you’re going to lose; if you’re not going to serve receive, you’re going to lose. It’s just that every part of the game has to be ready to go,” said Evenhouse. “Hopefully mentally we’re going to be ready Tuesday; physically we’re going to be as ready as we can [and] we’re going to go after them.”

Pella Christian advanced to the Regional Final with a thrilling five-game win over Clarke on Friday night, while Mediapolis cruised three games to none in their match against Davis County. Coverage of tomorrow night’s match in Washington can be heard on 92.1 fm, KRLS with Eric Gotschall and Wynne Veenstra. Coverage begins at 6:45 p.m., with the opening serve at 7:00 p.m.
