The Pella boys cross country team made a solid showing last weekend at the Nike Cross Nationals Regional Meet. The runners for the Little Dutch – who elected to run at the meet on their own – placed 15th out of 25 elite teams from across seven surrounding states. Senior Zach Wittenberg was the highest placing finisher for Pella, crossing the finish line in 33rd place in a time of 16 minutes, 21 seconds. 228 runners competed in the race, which was held in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The top runners advanced to the Nike Cross Nationals, which will be held early next month in Portland, Oregon.
