Excitement, nervousness and anticipation continues to build as the Pella football team is just one day away from the biggest game in school history when they play Harlan for the Class 3A state championship tomorrow afternoon. The Little Dutch have found just about every possible way to win games in what has been a magical post season. They continue to get outstanding play from their special teams and defense, and even though the offense struggles at times, they make big plays when they need them most. Coach Jay Mckinstrey says they understand the tough challenge that lies ahead and are more than ready to accept that challenge. Once again unranked Pella will be the underdog coming into the game against top ranked Harlan but Mckinstrey says that’s been the story the entire post season and they’re still playing.
