The Pella High School boys cross country team claimed the team title at this weekend’s State Cross Country Meet, after two consecutive seasons with runner-up finishes. Top-ranked Pella was led by a sixth-place finish from Zach Buchheit, who earned all state honors. The Little Dutch girls team also ran well, finishing fifth in the team standings. Also in Class 3-A, the Knoxville boys placed ninth, and Pella Christian took sixth in Class 2-A. Individual runners from Knoxville and Pella Christian’s girls’ teams also ran at Fort Dodge Saturday, along with both boys and girls from Pleasantville and the PCM boys squad.
