The Pella girls basketball team will officially start their 2009-2010 campaign tomorrow night, and have set a goal to be successful on terms that they identify themselves. First-year coach Jared Garland says continuous improvement throughout the year will be one of the main goals for the Lady Dutch.

“Our main goal is to improve every week as a team,” Garland says. “Wherever we start, whatever that point is, we want to be better than that the next week. That’s our main goal.”

Garland adds that the team will also set its sights on another Little Hawkeye Conference title, and says the captains will work on setting additional goals throughout the season. The Pella girls basketball team opens the year on the road tomorrow night to face Ballard.
