The Central College women’s basketball team did something they hadn’t done in 22 years on Saturday, by defeating Wartburg College in Waverly 72-67; in a come-from-behind victory.  The Knights had not been beaten on their home floor by Central in the previous 23 attempts.  The injury-riddled Dutch scored the final nine points of the game, including a basket from Pella native Kelsey Schuring (SKURR-ing) that tied the contest at 67-67 with 1:33 remaining.  Fellow Pella High School stand-out Haley Brillhart also recorded a big afternoon for Central, with 15 points and 11 rebounds in just 18 minutes of action, before leaving with an injury.  Central is now 2-5 overall and 1-1 in the Iowa Conference, with a Wednesday road trip to Storm Lake to face Buena Vista University up next.
