In a follow-up story from a food drive earlier this fall in Pella, KNIA/KRLS and the Pella Hy-Vee donated over six hundred dollars in needed items to the Pella Food Shelf Thursday. The items were purchased from cash raised during the drive and included high demand products such as peanut butter, jelly, macaroni and cheese, toilet paper and laundry detergent.

As part of the drive, Hy-Vee agreed to match the monetary amount raised by KNIA/KRLS during the drive, which came to $307 dollars from each organization. The donation was part of the 8th Annual KNIA/KRLS Food Drive. Help us fill up the Big Red Radio, and together, we can help fill the local food banks of Marion County.
